When it comes to shopping in Bangkok, one destination stands out above the rest: Chatuchak Weekend Market. Known locally as “JJ Market,” this marketplace is one of the largest and most diverse markets in the world. Whether you’re hunting for unique souvenirs, sampling delicious street food, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, Chatuchak offers an unforgettable shopping experience. Let’s dive into what makes this market so special.

A Shopper’s Dream

Covering over 35 acres with more than 15,000 stalls, Chatuchak Weekend Market attracts around 200,000 visitors each weekend. It’s a maze of alleyways and sections, each dedicated to different types of goods. From fashion and accessories to home decor and antiques, you can find just about anything here. The market is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 6 PM, with some sections, like the plant market, open on Fridays.
